Latest translated QuIP guidelines

This week we were pleased to add another non-English language resource to our library; the QuIP guidelines are now available in Levantine Arabic – click here to access the document. Although we are still only able to offer our face to face training in English and French, we are always keen to add other language resources to make the approach more accessible to a wider range of practitioners.
Arabic was one language we have been asked for many times, and we are grateful to a former QuIP trainee and professional evaluator Raida Al-Zu’bi for translating these guidelines so carefully. As ever, we are open to suggestions and feedback if anything doesn’t seem quite right!
Languages are my first passion and subject of academic study, so I feel very strongly about good translations to open up access to information. Although I speak three languages fluently and one badly (and a smattering of childhood Arabic phrases and rhymes from my Egyptian mother), I am only really very confident reading and writing in English so I am constantly in awe of non-native English speakers who attend and engage with our training so confidently, and go on to do wonderful qualitative evaluations in their own countries and languages. We also rely on our talented local research partners to translate everything into many local dialects when conducting interviews, and they help us feed back to our participants by translating findings into local languages for unique webpages for each project we work on, as we committed to in 2022 and have done ever since.
